The goal of the TaiWan Advanced Research & Education Network (TWAREN) is to construct an advanced broadband network that will greatly advance national academic R&D efforts. TWAREN is a world-class high-speed broadband network on par with that of other outstanding networks such as those found in the US and Japan. TWAREN's bandwidth is more than 40 times that of its predecessor, TANet2. TWAREN takes advantage of Taiwan's geographic location and outstanding reputation in IT to connect with other high-speed R&D networks in the Asian Pacific Region and abroad. TWAREN will help Taiwan become the R&D bridge between northeast and southeast Asia. So far this year, we already have four international-scale projects underway that utilize the TWAREN network. We expect many more in the near future. This website contains various tools that can be used to measure TWAREN's performance and monitor its status.

We are the TWAREN R&D Team. Our goal is to maximize TWAREN's performance and provide the highest quality network service possible.
